Over the last few years, Sarasota County has engaged in an internal discussion and analysis of the whats and hows of best practice.
Rather than referring to revenue maximization (which is important), and productivity enhancements (which seems a normalized course of action) and cost optimization (i.e., cost reductions), our discussions have focused on delivering customer value, and have evolved from three distinct areas of conversation:
- clarity of purpose
- the core services of this government
- understanding strategic customer value analysis (SCVA), and how this criteria is applied to levels of service discussions
